Gates Up At The End Of The Season

The Pleasant Valley Playhouse is shuttered for the season and the audience is gone (for now).

With Labor Day taking families away, streets are quiet, still and empty of children's voices (for now).

Waters from the latest storm have receded, leaving the creeks shallow and still (for now).

Pleasant Valley Pool is dormant and still (until next year).
Red and orange leaves will fall soon and snow will surely pile up soon after that.
Scenes like the ones above, bearing their own individual differences, will appear again next year.
I look forward to seeing them all again in the sunrise of yet another green season.

Quo Vadis: Astor Theatre, Times Square (1951)

Recently-found magazine tear sheet from 1996 stuffed in a book.
I'm guessing I pulled it for sourcing, but never referenced it in any of my pieces.
I'm only in the "making lists of images" stage of the next few things I'm working on (where I draft my mood boards and make connections) perhaps this is the perfect opportunity to address that omission.
